The initiative addresses legal education and mental wellness for digital creators, empowering India’s influencer community with expert support.

Mumbai/Delhi, 25th June 2025: The Indian Influencer Governing Council (IIGC) has launched ‘IIGC Protect’, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering influencers with critical legal literacy and mental health support. The program brings together Trilegal as the Legal Knowledge Partner and United We Care x Adayu – A Fortis Group Company as the Mental Health Partner, creating a robust ecosystem of education and care for India’s growing creator economy.
With Trilegal, one of India’s leading law firms, IIGC Protect will develop and distribute legal primers on essential topics such as brand agreements, advertising compliance, intellectual property rights, data privacy, AI regulations, and financial guidelines for finfluencers. Additionally, IIGC Protect will host interactive legal workshops, directly engaging with influencers’ questions to ensure practical and actionable takeaways.
To further enhance creator well-being, IIGC Protect partners with United We Care x Adayu to offer mental health support, including self-assessment tools, access to practitioners, and Well-being Huddles—virtual spaces where influencers can interact directly with mental health professionals. This collaboration brings personalized, accessible care into the creator’s daily workflow.
Yogesh Singh, Senior Partner and Head of Corporate Practice, Trilegal, commented:”As the digital economy matures, legal complexities rise. With IIGC Protect, we aim to equip influencers and brands with essential knowledge to make responsible, informed decisions.”
Ritu Mehrotra, Founder & CEO, United We Care, added:”Influencers often face silent psychological challenges. Our partnership ensures creators have continuous, meaningful access to emotional support.”
Sahil Chopra, Chairman, IIGC, said:”With IIGC Protect, we are actively filling a much-needed gap. Legal literacy and mental health must go hand-in-hand to help creators sustain and thrive in the long run.”
Dr. Samir Parikh, Director, Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, Adayu – A Fortis Group Company, noted:”Mental health must be prioritized. Initiatives like IIGC Protect use the power of technology and collaboration to bring care closer to creators.”
Looking ahead, IIGC will spotlight the IIGC Protect initiative at its upcoming Bangalore event on 28th June, featuring dedicated sessions on creator rights and mental resilience.
