This Diwali & Kali Puja, TV9 Bangla brings a plethora of programmes for its viewers from 25th Oct to 30th Oct 5:30 pm onwards
Mumbai: The exclusive program of TV9 Bangla named as ‘Praner Alo’ essentially means the light of life over dark. For every darkness, there is a light of knowledge and hope and that’s how ‘Praner Alo’ allures audience to drive knowledge from its myriads of offerings.
Amritanshu Bhattacharya, Managing Editor & Business Head, of TV9 Bangla, asserts, “Goodness emerges over evil, and the time has come to evade darkness and this Deepawali is set to bring a new light of hope.”
The knowledge-driven programme, Praner Alo houses two other programmes ‘Banglar Shatipeeth’ & News Series ‘Pannalal’. Banglar Shatipeeth embodies the story of Shaktipeethas, (the sacred shrines) how they were formed, and how they turned into pilgrim hotspots. There are about 51 Shaktipeethas in India, out of which 18 denote Maha (great) Shaktipeethas. Different legends narrating its existence, and the special significance of the holy shrines will telecast through Banglar Shatipeeth. It is believed that these temples are most ancient in Hinduism and considered as the heavenly abodes of the Goddess Sati, the first wife of Lord Shiva. There will be 7 such episodes narrating the significance of the holy shrines. This show will be telecast from 25th – 30th Oct, 5:30 pm onwards.
During Kali puja, pandals and temples across Bengal play Shyama Sangeet. This popular genre of music, founded by the young singer Pannalal Bhattacharya devoted his life to goddess Kali and died at an early age of 36 years. It is believed that his unparalleled tune of music dripped with devotion to the goddess Kali. TV9 Bangla pays tribute to the legendary singer whose song has been quintessential to Kali puja. This news documentary will be telecasted on 27th Oct, at 10 pm, and the repeat telecast on 31st Oct, from 10 pm.
