The FILTR Martini is inspired by South Indian Filter Coffee and the cherished Kaapi ritual
Mumbai: Continuing their commitment to bring innovative spirit offerings to Indian consumers and elevating the cocktail culture in the country, Stranger & Sons is set for another unique collaboration with Subko – the leading homegrown coffee house revolutionizing Indian coffee culture, to introduce the FILTR Martini.
The FILTR Martini is inspired by South Indian Filter Coffee and the cherished Kaapi ritual, complete with the art of measuring froth heights and perfecting throw lengths to get the perfect froth over coffee cups at Udupi darshinis. A distinctive ready-to-drink cocktail that reimagines the traditional Espresso Martini, the FILTR Martini blends specialty coffee and Stranger & Sons gin, achieving the perfect balance of flavors; The result is a bold, unique interpretation of the timeless cocktail. All you have to do is, shake it well with ice to create that coveted frothy layer and top it with the Vanilla garnish spray that comes with the bottle, making this drink a true catalyst for worlds to collide, bringing a new dimension to your cocktail repertoire.
“We’ve always been serious about cocktails, our past innovations have been testaments of the same. In a world where the classic Espresso Martini has become predictable, we’re breaking the mold and taking inspiration from the coveted and humble Filter coffee – a staple in Udupi Darshinis, and elevating the classic cocktail to its deserved pedestal. Our fascination with Subko’s diverse selection of Indian-grown coffee led us to craft a ready-to-drink cocktail experience like no other—one that stands as the best you’ll find.” said Rahul Mehra, CEO and Co-Founder of Third Eye Distillery.
“We have been quite elated to have the privilege of transforming and coalescing 3 worlds together with the ‘Filtr’ project. Alongside the illustrious Stranger & Sons team we have been able to work on a meticulously sourced and roasted specialty coffee endeavor combined with a traditional South Indian filter coffee avatar and the best in class craft gin distilling. All of that has been enveloped and wrapped around a testament to the Subcontinent and its provenance. We feel this bottle is a beautiful testament to how craft can be expressed through both coffee and spirits simultaneously.” Added Rahul Reddy, Founder – Subko Coffee
The FILTR Martini is available in Goa and Maharashtra and will also soon be available in Bangalore and Gurgaon.
